We are all leaders in our own right.  Members have the opportunity to lead committees and special projects that support the community we serve.



DR. THELMA THOMAS DALEY


Dr. Thelma Thomas Daley is our current Chair and the 8th National President of NCNW.
She is a distinguished Counselor-Educator, organization leader and Administrator and college professor. She is an American Counseling Association Fellow, and a National Board Certified Counselor.


Her advocacy for equity and excellence has been reflected in her manynational, state, and local roles. Prior to her presidential position with NCNW, she has served as president of four national organizations.  She has held many local positions. She has conducted workshops or given speeches to groupsthroughout the United States in Europe, Africa, and Japan.


She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. She was inductedin the BGE and Baltimore Sun 2020 Business and Civic Hall of Fame. She is widely recognized for her organization and leadership skills, especially her training skills and her ability to motivate and inspire people.


She has a strong civil/human rights advocacy record and gives freely of her time and skills to empower others.
