Dear Section President and Affiliate Heads:
I would first like to say thank you for your support of our previous programs and look forward to working with you continually. As you know, the Bethune-Height Recognition Program is a major fundraiser for NCNW. This year we will celebrate 49 years of honoring those who support the mission and the values of NCNW. The Bethune-Height Recognition Program celebrates individual NCNW members who contribute a minimum of $300 or become a new Life or Legacy Life member through the Bethune-Height Recognition Program. These contributions are utilized to meet NCNW’s annual operational cost and delivery of service programs to our communities. The collective support is needed from all Sections and Affiliate members to accomplish our goal.
This year’s Bethune-Height Recognition Awards Program will be held at Martin’s Crosswinds, 7400 Greenway Ctr Dr., Greenbelt, MD 20770, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The level for Bethune Achievers, Life, and Legacy Life Membership must be paid through the MARBHRP to be recognized at the luncheon:
Bethune-Height Achiever - $300 (Personal Donation, or Raffle Tickets)
Life Member - $500 *National request you hold/make 1 payment
Legacy Life Member - $1000 *National request you hold/make 1 payment
Please submit the Individual Pledge Form if you are becoming a B-H Achiever, Life Member, or Legacy Life Member, and/or AD or patron/supporter. Email the form with your full payment to Marbhrpncnw@gmail.com, and cc: Tina Tyson at TLT0727@aol.com to let the BHRP Committee know that your payment is on the way. ALL PAYMENTS are due on September 1, 2023. Please mail your payment to BHRP, P.O. Box 12174 Silver Spring, MD 20908.
The Mid-Atlantic Bethune-Height Recognition Committee (BHRC) of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is also accepting nominations for Special Awards. Please complete the Nomination Application and submit your complete nominee’s packet to the Awards Selection Committee no later than close of business, Friday, May 19, 2023.

We seek to meet community needs through our various outreach programs. With our partnership with the Adopt-A-Family program we have served over 50 families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
